Freelance Facilitator Vacancies
Are you an experienced anti-oppression facilitator, social justice educator, anti-racism expert, a specialist on Gender or decoloniality, for example?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Fearless Futures serves daring organisations – across sectors – ready to actively challenge inequities by addressing their roots, intersections, and lived realities. We do this as an ambitions group of multi-disciplinary specialists by facilitating transformative, experiential equity and inclusion education and partnering with our clients through consultancy to re-design their policies and processes to operationalise equitable ecosystems for their people and products.
We are looking for expert freelance anti-oppression facilitators to join us to deliver our transformative education to our clients. Our programmes take place globally, both virtually and in-person, for leaders across a wide range of companies. Our friendly facilitator community benefits from peer-to-peer support as well as in-person and virtual annual meet-ups, paid training, paid prep-time, and a decompression bonus we encourage folks to take to help them decompress after sessions in any way that meets their needs.

Our process (Virtual)
We hire expert anti-oppression facilitators on a rolling basis. This means, you’ll receive an acknowledgement of your application. You then may be invited to an interview. If you’re successful after interview, you will be in our pool to attend training. When you’ll eventually be invited to training is driven by the timeline for when we are bringing on new clients, so that we know we can offer you programme delivery work.
01. Application
Read our application documents at the end of page and if you’re interested apply via our application form. You’ll receive acknowledgement of your application and if you’re successful, we’ll invite you to an interview.
02. Interview
We have a two stage interview process. In both stages you’ll be asked to facilitate a section of our activities from our programmes. We’ll also ask you some questions to understand more about how you approach anti-oppressive ideas and concepts.
03. The pool
If you’re successful after the interviews we will let you know. At this point you’ll remain in our ‘pool’. During this time we will keep in touch in general with you – how long you’ll be in the pool is unknown and we therefore understand that your circumstances, situation and interest may change. You will move into the ‘training’ part of our process, when we have better visibility of onboarding of new clients. We do not train people until we have some certainty that we will be able to offer newly trained facilitators programme delivery opportunities. Additionally, having the training close to client delivery opportunities makes the training more impactful.
04. Training
We have a three step training process – to be successful, you will need to have good availability to be able to attend all stages. All of our training is paid at our training rate detailed in our pay policy at the end of this page.
Step 1:
Complete our self-paced online training programme, over a period of two weeks, where you will learn our approach to anti-oppressive concepts and practices and the facilitation skills required for the programme.
Step 2:
Observe one of our live programmes in action. Here you’ll see our Lead Facilitators demonstrate everything you learned in the online training.
Step 3:
Complete a practice facilitation with other trainees and a member of our team. You’ll receive personal written feedback on your practice that you can implement during the next stage.
Once you’ve completed the training, you’ll be ready to facilitate as a trainee on our client programmes!
05. Live Training
We will offer you up to three programmes to train on. Again, you’ll need to have good availability to ensure you can facilitate each of the modules and progress quickly to being a Lead Facilitator.
A member of our team will guide you through this process and give you feedback to help you progress towards becoming a Lead Facilitator with us. Your live deliveries are paid at the training rate as detailed in the pay policy at the end of this page.
We want to be transparent that not everyone is successful in becoming a Lead Facilitator with us – we know that quality of delivery and availability is key for success and that’s why we highlight this during our application and interview processes. Our team will always be transparent with you so you’ll know how you’re doing along the way.
06. Becoming a Lead Facilitator
Once you’ve successfully completed up to three programmes as a trainee, you’ll be signed off to be a Lead Facilitator. At this point, you will continue to be placed on our programmes as they are available. Once you’re a Lead, you will be paid at the lead rate as detailed in the pay policy at the end of this page.
Our process (in-person)
Our process to recruit facilitators for in-person delivery is the same as above, however there will also be an additional ‘in person’ training session, paid at the trainee rate as detailed in the pay policy at the end of this page.
Ready to apply?
Compensation
Our trainee day rate is £150/$200 per day and our lead day rate is £474/$506. At this time we are unable to pay in currencies other than GBP and USD.
